Mr. Speaker, today, I want to acknowledge the remarkable work of the non-governmental organization Medical Relief Group Canada, which promotes the Canadian values of solidarity, generosity and compassion both at home and abroad. Recently, the organization sent a large shipment of medicine to Lebanon and personally oversaw its distribution to ensure that this essential aid reaches those who are most vulnerable and in the greatest need. I also want to express my sincere appreciation for the founders and leaders of this organization, who are on the Hill today, for their vision, dedication and leadership both at home and abroad.

Mr. Speaker, February 2026 is the 30th anniversary of Black History Month. This year's theme is the legacy of generations over time. Fittingly, I wish to acknowledge the role of Althea Seaman, who was born in Dominica. She was truly a pioneering member of Laval's Black community. She belonged to one of the first families to settle in our region in the 1970s. In 1983, Ms. Seaman founded the Ville Laval Black Community Association to build a network of solidarity and foster intercultural exchange. Over time, she even became an ambassador who connected francophone and anglophone Black communities. Today the House of Commons acknowledges Ms. Seaman's resilience, courage and legacy—

Mr. Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the extraordinary work being done in my riding of Laval—Les Îles by Linda Delisle. Life is a river filled with many explorers and many foundering souls. Sometimes we are lucky enough to encounter someone with a pure heart, a life raft we can cling to. Ms. Delisle is one of those people. Under her leadership, the Manoir du Ruisseau has become a warm and welcoming place to live, where every resident is treated with respect, attentiveness and kindness. She has created a culture of compassion and dignity, ensuring that seniors receive the care they deserve. Through her leadership, she has made the Manoir du Ruisseau a model of excellence. Her team feels it is an honour to serve our nation builders and care for seniors. On behalf of all Canadians, all Quebeckers and all Laval residents, I thank Ms. Delisle. I extend my greetings to all the Manoir du Ruisseau residents.

Mr. Speaker, to strengthen our Canadian identity, we need to help more people discover the places, stories and landscapes that define us. From national museums to parks and historic sites, these shared spaces remind us of who we are. For many families, every outing counts in the budget. Can the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages elaborate on how we are helping Canadians explore and celebrate their heritage while ensuring that these experiences remain fairly accessible to everyone?
