Madam Speaker, I would like the minister to provide her thoughts on Shoal Lake No. 40 first nation, which is located on Treaty 3 land. Over generations now, in the city of Winnipeg, we have had fresh, clear, clean water supplied to the residents. Water management has been at the core for first nations. This is one of the ways that we recognize the whole issue of valuing our natural resources and the important role indigenous people play. It is a part of reconciliation. Could the minister provide her thoughts on that?
Madam Speaker, I am glad to hear that the member supports the legislation and wants it to go to committee. That is a very positive gesture. Madam Speaker, I am glad to hear that the member supports the legislation and wants it to go to committee. That is a very positive gesture. The government, I believe, has great intent of looking at an issue that has been an issue for generations now. I can recall, even when I was an MLA, the water advisories in the province of Manitoba. I believe there is a lot of good public will for more action. Our Prime Minister, newly elected less than a year and a half ago, has brought forward substantive legislation. I believe we are moving in the right direction. Could the member provide his thoughts in regard to having the bill go to committee sooner as opposed to later?

Madam Speaker, shame on the Conservatives. They are all about character assassination. Let me tell the House what the government and this Prime Minister have accomplished over the last 18 months. That is how we deliver for Canadians. We deliver by major projects. We deliver by tax breaks. We deliver by dealing with issues like affordability and the environment and by building a stronger and healthier economy. They should stop the character assassinations and get onside with team Canada.
Madam Speaker, I would ask that all questions be allowed to stand.
Madam Speaker, I was concerned about it being commentary rather than a clear demonstration of a violation, but it looks like the member is done, so I will withdraw my comment.
