Madam Speaker, I am really pleased that my colleague talked about Canada's national school food program, because, as he may recall, I introduced a bill for that in the House, and, in the end, the government went ahead and created this program, which is now permanent. When I visit schools in my riding, I see free breakfasts and free or discounted lunches. However, as my colleague said, the Conservatives voted against a program that is so important for families and for children who go to school. I would also like my colleague to tell me how this kind of program has helped many children and probably many families in his riding make ends meet.

Madam Speaker, when I was listening to my colleague from New Brunswick, he said that he wants to help his constituents and wants to help New Brunswickers, but he also said that families are experiencing food insecurity. He voted against the school food program. He voted against the groceries and essentials benefit. He voted against the Canada child benefit. Imagine saying that families are experiencing some difficulty and then voting against all those programs. Every time it was time to help New Brunswickers and his constituents, he voted against. He talks about the crab fishermen and lobster fishermen in my riding. He voted against the Atlantic fisheries fund, the top-up for small craft harbours and the $1 billion that we just announced. He voted against everything. What is he going to vote against the next time?

Madam Speaker, I was wondering what to ask my colleague, and she actually answered my question in her speech. I recalled that before she became such an exceptional member of Parliament, she was an equally exceptional family doctor. She talked about all the programs we have put in place, including the Canada child benefit, the Canada groceries and essentials benefit, the Canadian dental care plan and a program that is particularly important to me, the national school food program. I am sure that when she looked after people in her previous life, they were grateful to receive assistance from various levels of government and from various organizations. Can she tell us whether the people receiving these supports are actually seeing any improvement in their quality of life?

Mr. Speaker, I remember very well that my colleague has visited me several times in my riding in the past. We are talking about lowering gasoline prices by 10¢ per litre and diesel prices by four cents per litre, not to mention getting rid of the carbon tax. My colleague has also talked about the many programs that our government has put in place since the beginning. Which program does he think is helping his constituents the most? Which one has the biggest impact on families and people in his region?

Mr. Speaker, since my colleague is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, I am sure she will be able to tell us about a few housing-related programs. In my riding, houses are springing up like mushrooms, so to speak. Municipalities across my riding are exceeding their construction targets by more than 300%. When we talk about affordability, we mean ensuring that people can find housing at a lower cost. I wonder if my colleague can talk about the various infrastructure and housing programs in the minister's portfolio.
