1. Meeting with Parliamentarians, officials and senior staff to advance ongoing discussions with respect to James Smith's Cree Nation 100's desire to separate from two other Nations that are treated as a collective by Canada. Together, the three bands, known as "James Smith Cree Nation 370, " are currently funded by Canada as a collective, yet they are distinct Nations with separate elected leadership and different priorities. We are working to advance James Smith Cree Nation 100's de-amalgamation goals and self-determination priorities.

2. Implementation of the inquest recommendations following the tragic tragic mass casualty incident in September 2022 including by pursuing funding to establish community safety officers, collaborate on RCMP modernization, improve policing in James Smith Cree Nation and provide more healing and reintegration services to offenders while protecting the public.
