We are asking the government to make changes to the Income Tax Act primarily through changes to what kinds of community capital investments (i.e. community bonds, co-operative shares, and other crowd-financing opportunities etc.) registered accounts can hold, and their respective eligibility rules. We do this work representing the Canadian Coalition for Community Capital, a grassroots network of various organizations in our sector that is 100% funded by Tapestry. Our employee, Suzanne Faiza, is the Coalition Coordinator.
