1. Improve bilateral trade with Lebanon. Review existing treaties and agreements to ensure they are up to date and are conforming to the terms.

2. With respect to the ongoing war between Gaza and Israel, through a briefing of the situation in Lebanon regarding the fragility of the state already facing a humanitarian crisis, economic crisis and political stalemate on the election of a president, the Canadian Government is being asked to work with the international community to put pressure on key stakeholders to neutralize Lebanon from the effects of the Gaza war, and to do so by establishing a global consensus that Lebanon is not represented by Hezbollah, which is a non state actor and is controlled by Iran.

3. c) efforts to assist a fact finding mission for Beirut blast through HRC. The victims of the Beirut blast, which include Lebanese Canadians want closure, and part of that is to find the ones who are accountable. While some progress is being done, there needs to be an independent fact finding mission on the ground and the victims have put this forth through the Human Rights Council of the United Nations. A step forward, would be to recruit signatories for this mission to help it pass at the next sitting.
