The government's decision to close the Mactaquac Biodiversity Facility risks extinction of Atlantic salmon in the Wolastoq (Saint John River). The Wolastoqey Nation is seeking that the government reverse its decision to close the facility or, at minimum, delay the closure until enhanced conservation and protection measures can be established.
