Industrial & Regional Benefits (IRB) Policy – this policy administered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada requires that foreign prime contractors who are awarded major Canadian defence procurement contracts place a level of business activity back into Canadian industry. AIAC advocates to the government for a policy framework and eligibility rules that ensure high quality industrial benefits are placed into Canada by the primes.

8. As a member of the Canadian Aviation Regulations Advisory Council, participate in the development of and amendments to the Canadian Aviation Regulations with respect to the revised Aeronautics Act and manufacturing and maintenance and aircraft certification sections within the regulations.
