Median MP over the same window: $584,594 total; staff $347,097, travel $93,224, hospitality $4,571, contracts $126,144. 334 sitting MPs have at least one published quarter.
How this is counted
- Window: the newest 4 quarters the House has published (July 2025 to June 2026), summed. An MP elected or sworn in part-way through has fewer quarters and is marked; they are ranked on what was published, not scaled up.
- Four categories, as the House reports them. Staff salaries are the MP's own employees. Travel is the travel points system and office-budget travel, for the MP, staff and the family members the rules allow. Hospitality is food and events for parliamentary functions. Contracts is everything else: office leases, advertising, service contracts, equipment, training. The MP's own salary is not in any of these.
- Travel is mostly geography. A member for northern British Columbia or Nunavut cannot have a Toronto member's travel bill. Read the travel column against the riding.
- Restatements: the House publishes each quarter about three months after it ends and corrects earlier quarters when claims are adjusted; credits appear as negative lines. The newest two quarters are re-pulled every refresh.
- Source: House of Commons, Members' Expenditures Reports. Each MP's Ethics & Money tab shows every trip, hospitality line and largest supplier for this window, and every quarter since April 2021. See data status.
